I am not pregnant and I have just started having sex. Any reasons why this would be?

It's definitely not psychological because I'm a very sexual person.

it's possible that you have a short vaginal canal, and if your man has a long penis, he could be hitting the cervix. this can be very uncomfortable, so you could try positions like you on top, where you have more control, side by side, where penetration is not as deep, or doggy style, but ask him to be careful since this position allows deeper penetration. if these changes don't work, you may need to see a doctor, because sex isn't supposed to be painful.

I had this same problem on Monday night. I've never experienced it before and have been having sex for 6 months. I've always enjoyed deep thrusting so it was a shame to experience pain in my lower abdomen. The next day I woke up and had to continuously go to the bathroom, even though I couldn't. I had a UTI and that could possibly have caused the lower abdominal pain. I've also been having an awful lot of horrible cramps lately so that could be why as well. My mom also told me if you have a tipped uterus then it could cause deep penetration to hurt. In any event, tell your partner that you are having pain so that he doesn't keep doing it. Definitely go see a doctor. Make sure you're using the bathroom before and right after sex so you don't get a UTI and have to go on antibiotics like me for 10 days. If the problem persits you have to see a doctor. Hope all goes well for you!

Maybe your man is a little too well endowed... It could be hitting your vaginal walls or he's at the wrong angle pushing too hard. Try another position and tell him to take it slow and not "ram" you. I've experienced what you're talking about.
Besides vulvar vestibulitis, other conditions can cause pain during intercourse. If you have this complaint, see your doctor, who will first rule out yeast or other infections and then investigate other possible causes.

Well it might just be the nerves in that area being rubbed you know? in the flesh being pushed around causing soreness. If you really think its your ABS then maybe you are really working to get the best out of your sex and using those muscles.
