Hi

Can anyone help me with this.
I'm trying to change the margins on Microsoft word. I know how to do it but I need some figures.

I'm writing a novel and I just need the normal length they should be

Can anyone tell me in Centimetres what these should be

1) top margin
2) Bottom margin
3) Left margin
4) right margin

Thank you!

It would be ideal if you could have it in centimetres.
I don't follow inches!
Thanks!

Most professionals want an inch margin all around. I try to follow submission guidelines, but I usually make my margins a little more than an inch. Maybe an inch and a half. I don't think being a little off would matter.

You can research online. Try "Formatting + Manuscript" or something similar. You'll need to have your font right, as well as your header and page numbers.

Your first page will need to be set up correctly. You can find this information in many sources, online and in print.

lets see..... checking my canadian writers market...

8 1/2 by 11 inch 20-pound white bond paper
1 inch margin all around, double spaced, each page numbered.

So even in the canadian writers market book it says inches... so I'd say 2.54CM which is the same as 1 inch.

An inch all the way around is rather traditional.
