Any place that sells "Exit" and "For Sale" signs usually has "No Soliciting" in the assortment. Or just print your own on the computer.
The prior owner of my house owned a bar, and worked until 2 AM every day. He had a switch installed in the doorbell wires. I think it was a great idea, and often shut it off if I want to sleep in.

The absolutely free reverse vin check sites generally provide fake information. To get real information, money will have to be paid. The free searches provide fake information so they can get your email address to send spam.
Stay away from shady reverse vin check sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse vin check site like http://www.reversevincheck.net that has been around since 1995.

Hi the governemt is introducing exclusion zones throughout the UK which makes it illegal for cold callers and doorstep callers in residential areas. This comes into effect in August thats why all the reps and sales men are out in force no before the law changes in the mean time you can phone your local trading standards office at your town hall and they will send you one free
Or you can go to staples stationary stores and buy a pack of window stickers that you print yourself
They anoy the hell out of me,

I know how you feel! I have been bombarded with them this year!! I simply went to my computer, and on my word office, printed up a paper stating " NO SOLICITING" in bold red letters ... I think about in the 20ish size font. I cut it out and taped it to my door. Cheap, simple.... and you're done! You may want to print up a few for later use.
Remember to remove it when the Girl Scouts come to sell the cookies though!

We got ours from Homebase (Assuming you are in the UK) quite a neat little sticker which clearly says "No callers unless by appointment" and has a little "Prohibition" symbol as well. Quite cheap and you get 2 stickers

Make up a note yourself to stick on your door. Just politely asking them not to knock and disturb you!! Doesnt have to be nasty and will discourage any unwanted callers.
