ok so i got one for those birthing balls (big old exercise ball) but now what do i do with it??? im 38 weeks and hoping to move things along here i want to meet my baby girl.....i heard that the ball is very helpful and useful to get things moving along.....so do i just sit on it, rock on it, roll on it, take it outside and play kickball(lol) i dont know what to do!! haha anyone know the effective way to work this thing?? thanks in advance!

LOL You cracked me up with this question! Yeah, the ball looks really funny and it's SO huge! So what to do?

The best thing is to just sit on it. It helps you stretch and also takes pressure off your groin for a while. You can bounce on it to strengthen your legs. You can also "rock" or move in a circular motion while sitting - these both help to get your cervix ready for labor.

I just asked my friend who is a nurse about that yesterday! She said that the women lean their upper body sort of over the ball and rock on it to help open up the pelvic area and cervex. she said being in a sort of squatting position usung the ball for support in this way is helpful. I think it helps the baby move down into position or something too, I cant remember if she said anything about that or not. Anyways, I have one too, right now I'm just 25 weeks along so I lay over the top of mine to strech and help relieve my back pain. My husband is the one who likes to play kick ball with it, only he does it in the house. I see something breaking not too far into the furture..whith an irritated wife ready with the "I told you so!"

what u do is straddle the ball and rock side by side and in circles it helps to open the cervix and dialation good luck

when I was expecting my baby I bought the ball.......I had plans to take the ball to the hospital......mmmm.....I forgot the ball and anyway it ends in C-section.......so.......I don't know what to do with the @%%^ ball, LOL
I heard that you can sit in the ball during labor.....it helps to relax and it helps the baby to come down!!!!
Good luck with thr baby and with the ball!!!! LOL
