Does anybody here feel like they are growing out of video games?

I Have finally reached University and have realized that I cant play video games like I once could do in Secondary School (high school) or College.

I really want to get a xbox 360, but I know I won't be able to spend enough time playing it, as much as I want to, I know its not going to be the same anymore (mostly due to the responsibility i have to take!)

The main reason for this post is to see if anybody is facing the same or similar problem? Did any of you just stop playing games one day?

I am in my 40s and still make time to play.
I am a mother of four, a pharmacy technician and part time student.
You make time in your life for the things you enjoy. Yes, it is true, I no longer enjoy marathon gaming days, but an hour here or there is really healthy for my mental well being. Besides, someday I will be that 78 year old grandma kicking teenage butt on on-line gaming.
As you mature, other things take priority over gaming, but it is a great way to keep your mind and reflexes sharp! Don't stop.. just learn to manage your time and include it in your recreation time when you can!

Lack of time, and more responsibilities makes it harder to game but not impossible. Then again gaming too much can ruin relationships and be bad for you (ok I know I probably sound like a school marm, but I just had a husband leave me for some chick he met when he was playing WoW while I was at work)

I quit WoW for this reason, even though I still write and moderate for a site about it though. I put gaming aside for a little bit, but came back to it like it was a disease again. My reasoning was personal, though I know many people go through similiar things.. especially with MMOs and high end guild drama.

Video games have changed alot over the years.. some games are just ridiculously time consuming unless/even if you have the strat guide. I wouldn't say that you're likely growing out of it, as that modern games are just more time consuming and expensive than their predecessors which puts a damper on things across the board.

Hope you find some time to relax though so you can enjoy them though. Even if it is just a round of postal or some sims to get some much needed agressions out from time to time hehe

I have friends that played WoW a lot in high school. I think like 6 hours a day, and when he went to college he continued to play for 6 hours. So college didn't really stop his video gaming.

IT gets harder the older you get, but you never have to "give it up". I'm 27, and my husband is 30... we have a toddler, and we both still play video games. It's still fun, we just don't spend nearly as much time playing as we used to, but we still enjoy it!

Growing older doesn't mean stopping all the stuff you used to have fun doing, you just have to spend more time doing responsible, adult things first. ;)

and to the guy above me, WoW is in its own world..people have died because tehy didnt get up to get something to eat or go to the bathroom cause theyre so addicted...WoW should be listed as an illegal drug lol..i knwo so many people who have dropped to very bad grades due to WoW addiction

No one can out grow video games because my grandma still plays them and she is about 66 years old. I don't have this problem because they keep coming out with new and fun games
