Both very border-line. I tried to contact "Customer Care" or whatever to plead my case, but when I try to activate their "address" it takes me to the next E-mail instead. Does this august "Ministry of Proper Answers" really want feedback or are we peeing into the wind?

Does anyone really care about the points?

When Yahoo ('cuse me, that's Yahoo!) had discussion boards, they had a "report abusive/offensive posters" notice. One poster used some really foul language, so I reported him. The response I got was, "Put him on Ignore!"

BTW, Yahgoo-goo! said it temporarily suspended the discussion boards because a small number of posters were tying them up. The boards were to be returned when the problem was fixed.

That was several months ago and the boards have not returned.

well, i got a violation notice 6 months ago. i appealed and heard nothing back.... personally, i think u are wasting your time in appealing.

i think yahoo give u the option to appeal against the violation notice to make the system appear to be fair, but in reality, the whole thing is flawed.... still, despite it's faults, i do like yahoo answers.... so i guess we have to put up with stuff like this if we want to continue participating.

ya i had this very same problem, u are peeing into the wind, and at the same time u r also drinking the water down current from the herd. they dont want to listen to you, i've been suspended twice, and both times i didnt do anything wrong, and so i asked them what i did and they gave me a pre-written email saying that they wont discuss it or re-open any suspended accounts.

These violation notices are a complete joke! I have decided to ignore them from now onwards. Every time you get one of these, you lose 12 points! So my response is to tell them to f*** off!!
