I don't fear death, but I wouldn't welcome it either. I want to live to be very old, but not so old that I've spent all my retirement savings and have to be a burden to my own children. My preference would be to have a terminal illness that gives me time to prepare but not too much time to brood over once I find out (like cancer). Sudden deaths give you and your loved ones no time to say the things that you'd like the chance to say, those classic final words like "I've always loved you".

this is really weird and kinda depressing however i will answer it anyway just for S&G's. I would like a little warning but not too much because you dont want to ya know like dwell on it but I would like to say goodbye to everyone, I think the worst way to die would be to do something stupid and like accidentally die like by doing yard work or something and accidentally getting hit with the rolling lawn mower or something. The best way to die would be after a huge accomplishment that you have been working towards for a while. I would rather be old because you have more time to experience things.

I don't really fear death. I don't welcome it, and I certainly do want to live forever but I hear from alot of people that it's an imminent thing so, I don't have very high hopes for immortality.
I personally would rather die a significant death, maybe in some heroic way or at least die an important person or well known/appreciated/liked, but what is ego after death?
I guess I would want people to remember me, I would enjoy knowing how the rest of my loved ones end up. I would want to have led a fullfilling or successful life.
I think I would rather not die violently at the hands of someone who has no worthy reason for killing. I would not want to waver on the edge for a long time or die after someone was trying to save me. I guess I don't want to feel alot of pain but, what death isn't painful?

I am more afraid of how I will die than of death itself. I would rather know it's coming so I can prepare my family and allow them closure.
My personal worst death fears: Lou Gehrig's disease, Alzheimers, drowning or fire. Best scenario: die in my sleep.
I would prefer a ripe old age as long as I have not become incapacitated to the point where there is no quality to the life I am living.

I do, more than anything except loosing everyone that I love and being stuck here without them. I fear death because I believe there is nothingness after death. There is no good way to die, unless you stroke out during sex, thats the one exception. The worst would be to burn to death. I would prefer to be very old, but see it coming, and not in a terminal disease type of way. Someday when Im old and dying of cancer or whatever, youll see my taillights flying over the rim of the grand canyon like thelma and louise.

Fearing death is as stupid as fearing the sunset...it's gonna happen and you need to accept it. The worst way to die is realizing when you draw your last breath that you never REALLY lived. YOUNG, OLD those are human concepts....
the Islamic woman who is under strict rules of conduct merely to control her never really lives so she dies "young" no matter what her biological age...the person who freezes to death on mt Everest at 25 has lived a more full live than most 85 year olds so he is dying "old"

We do not really perceive our fears about death untill it is upon us. If you think you fear death now, wait untill it is upon you.
The worst way to die would be to be tortured to death.
The best way would be to die suddenly in your sleep.
It makes no difference if you're very old or young when you die, because what's in this life doesn't matter when you're dead.

Absolutely no fear of death for me. I think I'd be disappointed if I died suddenly so I think I'd like to know, as the cyclops knows, when, where, and how.
Worst I think would have to be burning with drowning as a close second.
The best way to die ... saving someone else's life.
Doesn't matter when really. My favorite quote is "Cenamus, bibamus, et gaudeamus cras tbi mortuum."
"Eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow you shall die."

no i dont fear death much.. some times it seems like a scary thought to be shut down in a grave... i'd rather die suddenly.. or ill scream b4 anything happens.. like i scream b4 a blade touches me, lol. the worst way to die is as a criminal being accused of a crime you've never commited. best way.. in your sleep i guess? and i'd certainly rather die when im old.. dont wanna miss all the stuff you get in the future. ;)
btw.. wt kinda question....................... 8-)

Mortality is never a dark question, but why waste ypu time thinking about the end since you've already begun. Why not simply enjoy this middle we're all in? Afterwards, there is still more uncertainty.
