What does he think he's doing?
As far as I'm concerned, I really have had enough of him. I would be more than happy to have no further news of either of them until such time if and when Madeleine is found. Enough and enough.

It sounds like a massive festival of guilt to avert criticism of how they abandoned their children in an unlocked apartment while they went out to enjoy themselves.
