Last tuesday I invited my friends Elias and Ivonne out to lunch. Now, today Elias calls me and asks what I was up to and I told him I was online checking my emails and w/e, and he tells me Ivonne invited him out to have lunch today.. and i'm mad.. I don't know why, but I am very disgruntled at the fact that

ONE: She didn't invite ME out to lunch as well.. and
TWO: She's trying to get with Elias behind my back.. when she clearly knows that's a no-no..

what the hell?!

No, its not that i'm controlling or anything like that, she just knows what I feel towards him... and I thought she would be nice enough to back off knowing what she knows..

One of my students had that situation come up and asked me what I thought she should do. I counseled her to wait. It turned out "Ivonne" had invited "Elias" to lunch so they could plan the surprise party they were setting up for "Karma" but since Karma didn't like them together, she blew up and ruined a whole bunch of things. So, once again, I would advise to wait and see how things go.

Yeah...that all sounds very chic.

But really, I'd probably be quite angry too. If I had invited someone to lunch, I'd expect them to return the courtesy. Ask Elias why he's not bothered that she's not invited you as well.

Well just invite Elias out -just the two of you! Don't waste any time doing it if you are interested in him.

seems like you're toooooooo controling when it comes to your friends. everyone has a right to do what they want when they want, and just because they are your friends it doesn't mean everytime they go out they have to invite you. If you feel left out, invite them out again, or get more friends than just two people. But don't get your knickers all in a bunch because someone chose to do something with their life and their time and didnt ask you to come along. Maybe you need a hobby.

don't get all HELL NO IM BEATING THAT BITCHES ***

ONE: what she is doing is clearly wrong because u ONLY like him .....
TWO: if u don't like him then maybe she does and she wants sometime alone with him or maybe you shouldn't jump to conclusions she might not even like him maybe it's time for a friendship to rekindle
but SISTERS BEFORE MISTAS
and that means never fight over a guy

friendship politics... that's a tough one. Basically the only thing to do is wait and see what happens, then tell her what you feel abotu the situation if something occurs.
