I had my first period like about 5 days ago and im getting scared because its getting close to a week and the bleeding isnt that heavy buh its just doesnt end....so i was just wonder if there is any longer periods or i have to go to a doctor or pill or something...

^loook up^<---ingnore the first addition details....... buh like i talk to my grandma and she said that i need to drink hot water with sugar and no cold water or it will mess up your period cycle is that true?

Your 1st period can last anywhere from a day to several days. Nothing to worry about unless you are soaking a pad every hour, have clots larger than the size of a nickle or have severe cramping with it.
5 days isnt a big deal. Some girls have them for 10 and that can be normal.
As for what your grandma said... untrue.

That's normal for a first. Don't worry about it being 28 days apart yet, either. The first few periods are not going to be really normal. You could go a month and a half without getting another. Don't worry too much what you are going through is normal. I've had a week and a half long period so, no, going to a doctor is not necessary.

My doctor told me anywhere from 3-8 days is normal. My periods as a teenager were usually 8 days long. Now I'm in my 20's and they typically last 4-5 days.

Don't worry I think you are normal, my periods usually last for about a week but they are really light. Periods can last anywhere from 4-10 days depending on the girl.

The first year or two of my periods lasted a full seven days, it was very frustrating. Now that I am older and have had children they've changed and I'm lucky if they last 3-4 days.

Thant's normal. It can last anywhere from 3 days to a week. Plus, this is your first period. Your cycle is going to be weird for a while. All of your hormones need to settle themselves. Don't worry!

oh dont worry at all... periods will be irregular for a very long time u dont need to worry i have had mine 4 a year and a 1/2 now and mines is irregular now dont worry give it until 10 days 4 the first couple of months, dont worry your fine

sometimes my periods last over a week, sometimes only 3 days. If you JUST got your period, the length will vary. Don't worry unless it is longer than 10 days...

i got my first period 3 months ago ijust started my 3month of it yesterday... but during the second month of my period it only lasted 4 days. talk to your mom maybe she had a long period. but i dont think you will have to go on the pill. they just make our period shorter.
