It can be VERY normal to experience continued pain after having a mammogram. It is unusual, but it isn't abnormal. Young women and women with very cystic breasts (you know who you are) tend to have a problem in that way. Less than 10% of my patients have such complaints, but if you are one of those, that is how it is.

I don't have a problem having a mammogram myself, but my mother bruised badly from mammograms and had pain for days (one time 3 weeks) later.

Take your anti-inflammatory of choice (aspirin/motrin/naproxen) and the pain will pass.

No, there shouldnt be pain after a mamogram. Nor discomfort... only some slight discomfort during the mamo.

no it isn't, probably means the technician applied way too much pressure in the process and bruised you. I would register a complaint with the department head.

not for long but its slight bruising cos they squeezed them a lot everyone is different perhaps yours are more sensitive any ways
