How far along where you when you had to buy maternity clothes - first pregnancy only.
I'm 15 weeks now - and hoping to get to August before I have to buy maternity outfits. I've bought a few shirts that are longer and looser - and then a few pair of pants that sit lower and maybe one size bigger.
I've only gained 5 pounds so far.

first pregnancy i was in them by 16-18 weeks. I still had some things that worked for me, but pants were getting too tight!
Second pregnancy, I was in them by 10 weeks! lol!

well i'm 17 weeks and have gained 7 lbs so far. I had to buy maternity clothes last month. Before that stuff that was a few sizes bigger or that was stretchy worked. Now I have no hope of wearing anything non maternity, cept maybe a huge oversized tshirt and a pair of drawstring pants.

I was about 12 weeks when I had to start wearing maternity pants, I could still wear my regular shirts because I wear them loose. i thought it was weird because I read if you're a big girl plus having a first pregnany, which this is my first, you don't start needing them till later. But not in my case. I'm 25 weeks now and all my clothes but one dress are maternity.
Oh and one of girls who posted mentioned Motherhood going to size XXL. The one I go here in California carries up to 3X for plus size mommies like me. Very cute stufff.

i bought some babydoll tops when i was 12 weeks just to prepare (they almost look like maternity cuz of how they are loose :P)
but im 16 weeks now and i can still fit in all of my clothes i had b4 i was pregnant
i also havnt needed to buy any pants its just my belly thats getting big

I havn't bought any of my maternity clothes, they were given to me, but I had to start wearing them around 28 weeks and this is my first pregnancy. But, everyones bodies grow differently.

It really depends where you live, but I live in TX and we have a store called Motherhood, and they have some of the cutest clothes. Even if you don't gain much weight they have XS all the way to XXL. So you will still find something! : ) Good Luck!

Well I'm a little unusual I'm 35 weeks and I'm still in pretty much the same clothes, i did buy a cpl larger shirts and that was around 30 weeks

i was about 6 months for the first, the second was about 5 months.
