Anyone have any good suggestions on books to read for a young adult?
Previous books that I have enjoyed are:
Harry Potter Series
Memiors of a Geisha
Gossip Girl Series
Wrinkle in Time...
Mostly I like books with a little bit of suspense in them, little bit of supernatural, and historical fiction.

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer and its sequel New Moon. These are the best books that I have ever read. They are filled with romance, suspense and definitely the supernatural(vampires and werewolves). All the teenage girls that I know, love this book. It's not gothic or anything so don't worry. There is also Blood and Chocolate. The Pendragon series and Artemis Fowl. Eragon is awesome as well.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak was one of the best historical fiction pieces I have ever read. Great book.
You might like Scott Westerfeld's Uglies, Pretties, and Specials series. Nice, light summer read with a little bit of action.
If you like suspense and supernatural, try a Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child cowritten book (Still Life With Crows was my favorite).

Ok, so I loved teh Gossip Girl series. I'm not sure if you'll like the books I suggest (they're like the GG series, but not liek harry potter, memoirs, etc...)
The It Girl (a series by the same author as Gossip Girl)
Anything by Sarah Dessen (these books arent quite liek GG and the it girl, they dont have the same type of characters that are rich spoiled and gossip adicts. but i ah-bsolutely loved all of her books)
Umm....wow...I cant think of much more. try Twilight and its sequal New Moon by Stephanie Meyer. I havent read it...YET. but a lot of ppl have reccommended it to me and it sounds cool.

Silken Savage and Summer Storm. They are both by Catherine Hart. They are Native Romance but they are sooo good. Happy reading!
