we are all the children of God, but we arent Gods...
We are all part of the universe, & God resides in all of us.
Jesus may or may not be the real son of God,
but he's the most deserving child God has ever had.
Peace!

In Christianity God is seen as a trinity, consisting of the father, the son, and the holy spirit. In essense, Jesus Christ is viewed by Christians as a part of that trinity, the son, and as part of God. In being part of the whole, he's often revered as God, though the distinction between the two remains clear. In the Christian view, summarizing, God sent a piece of himself, the son, his son, to mankind with a new deal, or new testament based upon love and forgiveness. To Christians, God shifted from being a fearful God to a loving God.

His name is not Christ...that is WHAT he is. Not like "Jesus Smith". Jesus did say He is the son of God. Jesus was in fact a Jew, not a Christian. Jesus did speak of religion, He had a ministry from the time he was 30 years old until He was crucified (and risin from the dead). The point of God sending His son to Earth to die was to bridge the gap between man and God formed by sin. The prophets could not do this because they, like everyone else, had sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Payment for sin must be made in blood. Until that time, the Jews had sacrificed animals to cover their sin. It was the only way to pay for sin. God's plan ,however, was to cover the sins of man once and for all. The only way for the sacrifice to be great enough was for the blood to come from a perfact lamb, the Lamb of God. The only One with no sin would be the Son of God. Christ rising from the dead was the final victory over death, hell ,and the grave. I hope you continue to search for answers, just keep your mind open to what God has to teach you.

Outlandish my man. I know that you can read and write. Therefore, I am about to offer you a revelation. Almost every answer to every part of your spirited question will be found in the Bible. Yes there is a book available to you Outlandish that contains the words of Jesus concerning God. Also, a thought, was Buddha, or Mohammad, or Tao, sons of the only living God? Me thinks that all, like Jesus, were men of enlightenment who communicated with a Higher Power. Enough Outlandish, read the Bible and your questions will be answered.

Well, I doubt that anyone will be too thrilled with my reasoning here, but I'll give it a shot:
1. Everybody is praying to GOD, "You can't know what it's like for us because you never had to go through it. You mad life too hard for us. Nobody can possibly do what you ask of us!" Okay, who can resist a challenge like that?
2. It was all part of the plan in the first place. He promised he was going to do it, he did it, and the promise was kept. End of story. It either means something to you or it doesn't.
3. If GOD is in everything, and everything is created by GOD, then it is perfectly within GOD's authority to manifest on Earth and go through the same experience we went through. Remember, there is someone else on Earth who has to be taught a lesson in humility! Can you think of any better way?

Jesus was the incarnation of God on Earth, and now sits at God's right hand...the holy spirit, which does not take the form of a human or supernatural being, completes the Trinity.
So we have God manifesting himself in three different ways.
We don't know everything concerning the Trinity, which is why it is considered a "mystery".

Jesus was called God's son because he is said to be God in flesh form. God is spirit. But God understood that man could not fully understand this idea as man felt that God has no idea what it would be like to live in a flesh body like our own. God then took on a physical body of flesh and died. We now know that God understands what it feels like to die, we were never sure before this happened. Jesus was God wrapped inside a body of living flesh. He was as close to God as a son is to his own earthly Father. That's why he is known as The son.

Jesus came to the earth to show the people of his time and those who came after the true nature of God. He lived every day without committing any wrongs (sin), and ultimately died on the cross to atone (pay for) the sins you and I and everyone commit. Jesus is the one true way to reach God, and claimed to be the son of God while on earth. God would prefer that all people accept the fact that they needed to be saved from the consequences of sin, and accept that Jesus' sacrifice on the cross was the one and only act that could ever save us from sin. All other attempts to reach God will fail because they reject the sacrifice of God's son Jesus.

Personally, I think the biggest bunch of malarchy in Christianity is the concept of the holy trinity. Father, Son and Holy spirit: All the same. This convoluted nonsense is what started my path to rejecting theisim outright. No need to make sense where sense doesn't exist, Jesus as the son of God is contrived.

Jesus did say he was the son of God, but so is everybody, earth, plants, animals and humans. That's what he meant, only that it has been misinterpreted for the wealth and power of Religion. Jesus came to teach us that, to find God within ourselves. He said "The Kingdom of God is Inside You".

we are all sons and daughters of god a direct spark off of the divine light....jesus was endeavoring to teach us just that but we decided to make him something we thought we were not...as usu all when someone with a divine message[prophet] comes along humanity has seen it through a limited mind and chooses to worship the message instead of following it....once again we distorted the truth in an effort to control each other
