All the time - People chose what they want to hear as the best answer and chose to ignore any conflicting answer even if it is the correct one and the one they have chosen is way off!!!
Infuriating isn't it!

Hi Hello World, I don't strive for best answer. I merely give what I think is my best opinion, if it reaches best status good. If not I know I gave my best honest answer an try to learn from other answers.

Yeah, I guess its how you phrase it, or something.
Sometimes it's obvious that someone spent 20min+ on an answer, but "best answer" goes to some dumba$$ who the asker agrees with.

Sometimes I give a really good answer, but then it goes to a not so good answer. But then again, I've gotten best answer after giving some lame answers, so you never know, lol.

I honestly don't bother trying to guess where my best answers are gonna come from as that would drive me absolutely insane if I did that. I'll take my best answers where ever I can get them from seriously.

I'm always surprised I get picked. Although I haven't been on Yahoo!Answers for very long and haven't been chosen that often.

Far to often. Sometimes I will do research and check my answer and it will go to someone who just threw something together. And I just sit there and watch my parentage dwindle.

I usually get confident when I get many thumbs-ups from the other answerers, but the asker usually has a different opinion. e

I never assume I'll get best answer. I may like my answer,but it may not be what the questioner is looking for.
