the number 100 has 2 zeros (like the decimal places you have)
Next, place the decimal number you have over 100 and then reduce.
10/100 = 1/10

2. Write down a "1" with that number of zeros after it. (In your examples, that would be "100"). That goes in the denominator (the bottom) of your fraction.
3. In the numerator (top) of the fraction, write your original decimal number, but without the decimal point.

4. If possible, reduce the fraction to its lowest terms. In your examples: 1/10 and 14/25

.10 Think of the places of every digit to the right of the decimal. Tenth, hundredth, thousandth, ten-thousandth. .10 is in the tenth spot. So, it will be 10/100 reduced it is 1/10.
.56 is in the hundredth spot. So, it will be 56/100. Reduced it is 14/25.

Divide the number by multiples of ten depending on how many decimal places you are dealing with.
0.10 has two decimal places so divide by 100, 10/100 or 1/10
0.56 has two decimal places so divide by 100, 56/100 or 14/25
0.567 has three decimal places so divide by 1000, 567/1000
remember to reduce when possible by finding a common denominator

The first number after the decimal point shows the tenths so 0.5 for example is 5/10.
The second number shows the one hundredths so 0.56 is 56/100.
The third number the thousandths so 0.321 is 321/1000 and so on.

first, you have to know your decimal places. ex: .1 would be 1/10 cause its in the tenth place.
.10 would be 10/100 cause its in the hundredths place. then you would simplify it to 1/10 because 10 can be divided by ten and so can 100.
.56 would be 56/100 because again, its in the hundredths place. then you would simplify it.
