This woman (in general) does NOT like shopping with her husband. I don't mind so much a grocery store, b/c then it's more of a joint effort. But when it comes to clothes and shoes or anything else of the sort - I'd rather be by myself. And if we do shop together - he's in the mens section and I'm in the women's/kids. That way I won't endure the constant sighing or eye rolling and we BOTH avoid the aggravation. So as far as I'm concerned all he has to know is I look good - not the "trouble" it took to get there! Lol.

Because he probably will think that other people think he actually owns a purse. He probably just expects that you will carry your own purse, but if you really want him to hold it sometimes, then if you are shoe shopping, or something, have him sit down somewhere while you are in line, and sit by your purse and watch it. Or, you could invent a store in the mall called "purse babysitters", which I am sure would help many men, because they won't be forced to hold others purses, and the women will not have to worry about holding thier purse all day. haha! hope i helped.

Because he feels it doesn't need held. Unless you have lost your hand or arms somehow then there is no need for him to hold it. Did he bring your purse to the mall? Did he ask you to bring your purse to the mall? It's the same as if he ask you to hold on to some raw chicken livers while your fishing. There's really no need for you to hold them. You have no use for them nor does he have a need to hold on to purses.

A lot of men feel funny holding things like a woman's purse as they feel that it makes them look like less of a man. Me on the other hand if a woman asked me to hold her purse for her because it's too heavy or if she wants to try on a pair of shoes or something I would hold it for her.

Many guys are afraid of looking either gay or henpecked when they have to hold their wife or girlfriend's purse.
The truth is, learning to hold your girlfriend's purse without self-consciousness is a crucial test of manhood. When you pass this test, you are then on the steps to the next level of manhood, which is when you buy her feminine hygiene devices.
The level of manhood after that is when your three-year-old daughter says, "Daddy, I left my lunchbox in your car," and you have to walk across the parking lot, take a pink-and-purple My Little Pony lunchbox out of your car, and walk back across the preschool parking lot carrying this testament to girlyness.
But you know you're a REAL man when that girl grows up and needs feminine hygiene products of her own, and you are sent to buy them from your regular grocery store.

This may not be a popular answer, but, um...If you don't want to hold your purse, wear cargo pants or pants with reliable pockets. It is YOUR job to hold your own purse. You can bring it to the fitting room with you if you must bring it.

Not very courteous of him. Slap him upside the head. If I see him, I'll compliment him on having a nice purse. hehe
