Anyone hear about this? I just watched the video on Yahoo.com. It looks like a blimp to me, but definitely a different shape than most "Ufo"s are.. lol. And of course the air traffic control people said that they didn't pick anything up. Any thoughts?

Yes. Just like the wonderful film footage of Big Foot, this was another hoax. Here is the link to reliable information for you: http://kutv.com/topstories/local_story_164122850.html

There's a newsclip as well as the texted news article on the subject. (They call it a 'hyperblimp'.)

Of course, it only fuels the debate. UFOlogists will claim this as more 'proof' that UFOs exist; naysayers will claim it's a weather balloon or government experiment. Until we actually 'capture' a UFO (and/or its occupants) we'll never know for sure. Although, I believe certain incidents lend credibility to the possibility that UFOs exist:
a) The 1947 incident in Roswell, New Mexico has never been satisfactorily explained, particularly to those who lived there and witnessed the entire event;
b) The Barney Hill incident is another event that has never been satisfactorily defamed;
c) There's a book called "The Alien Agenda" addressing such inter-related issues such as the government's own "remote viewers", UFO sightings, crop circles, etc.;
d) A movie was made about an Arizona man who might have encountered aliens from outer space;
e) Three outdoorsmen from Maine wrote a book about their own alien experiences that has never successfully been disproven;
f) I personally know three people of intense integrity, all of whom claim to have seen UFOs;
g) No one has ever explained the strange lights that hovered over Phoenix about 10-15 years ago; even the state's governor tried to 'poo-pooh' it with little success, since numerous people saw it and videotaped it.
h) Crop circles are difficult to explain unless you accept the fact that they had to be made by extra-terrestrials. No two blokes from England could travel all over the world and create such phenomena overnight;
i) Finally, consider all the cave paintings, Stonehenge, South American 'drawings' that were visible only from the air and yet created thousands of years prior to the invention of the airplane. Is there a connection??
In "The Alien Agenda" one of the claims is that intelligent terrestrials have visited Earth and are stationed about 600 miles above our atmosphere, waiting to come down and 'save us from ourselves' once we start blowing each other up with nuclear weapons.
I think our own hubris prevents us from believing that there might be superior intelligence "out there somewhere" and we're scared to death to face such a reality - or even the possibility. -RKO- 06/23/07

I saw that too. I reckon it was just another government aircraft. We have so many secret aircraft that we have been making since WWII.

I think the crash at Roswell was a cover-up...but not an alien conspiracy cover-up. It was a cover-up of an extremely top secret government aircraft that got struck by lightning and crashed in the desert. We covered it up because we didn't want Russia to know our secret...that is my take on it all.

I am glad the government keeps all this a secret...the less I know, the better I sleep at night, especially if aliens are real.

I doubt it myself. It looked a little phony to me. I'll wait for the news and maybe get a better look. Do you believe in UFOs?
