(7u5x6)(-4u5)

-28u10x6
-28u10
-28u25x6

THE 5, 6, AND 5 ARE EXPONENTS.
I don't want the answer. I just want to know if you multiply the exponents 5 and 5 or add them?
like, would the answer be -28u25x6?
(the 2,5, and 6 in that answer are exponents, it just doesn't make them small on the computer)

If you find yourself fogetting what to do with the exponents, stop and think about what "u^5" means (the "^" means "raised to the power of," so the 5 is an exponent).

u^5 means five u's multiplied together: u•u•u•u•u

So, if you multiplied that by another five u's (that is, by another u^5), how many u's would you have multiplied together?

When there are two parenthesis around, you multiply the exponents together. When you do not have parenthesis, you add them together when you multiply exponents.

You add them: -28u^10(x^6)

FYI, when indicating an exponent where you don't have the capability to superscript, it is customary to use ^.

I can't make head nor tail of your question.

However, if you are multiplying "a to the b" by "a to the c", it's "a to the (b plus c)".
