You're right about her being opinionated. Gayle had her own talkshow a while ago and it failed. I feel she's too Oprahish now. She'd be ok to fill in once in a while, but I hope she won't be full time.

If they want ethnicity, they should consider: Halle Berry, Angela Bassett, Whoopi Goldberg, Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, Holly Robinson Peete, Alfre Woodard, Victoria Rowell, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Telma Hopkins.

I think she'll definitely make a good host. Yes, she seems opinionated, but at least she'll be a good match for Elisabeth. Gayle has mentioned before that she and Oprah think very much alike.

Gayle would be great....I don't understand why anyone on the View being opiniated would be an issue....it's called THE VIEW as in Point of View....how can you express your point of view without expressing your opinions???? No, she is too much Oprah's ***** to have her own opinion.
Even when she is on Oprah's show, she seems so dimwitted. I think that is why Oprah keeps her as her friend. To seem that much smarter.

She'd be good, in general, but she'd do better with Oprah ( as she already does), The View didn't seem a good fit for her.

I think gayle would be great... i just think she could do better than the view... Everybody on that show is opiniated... but they need somone who isn't a pushover i think she could handle it...

I kind of wish that fat b*tch Rosie was back. I don't really like her but I don't like that little scrawny, blond, voice like a cartoon, just famous because I was on Survivor, Elizabeth. It was kind of funny to watch those two argue. I was hoping they would kill each other.
Yes, I'm a guy and I watch The View...No, I'm not gay, I just have nothing better to watch when I get off work in the morning.

I think she would. She's not calm and accusatory. But being she works for Oprah, her contract may stop her from seeking other work.

I would prefer if they put someone more conservative.
I like that actor Sherry something. The pretty black woman that is fuller figure.
