That area is well patrolled. There are tons of witnesses all the time. The real crime is in the lesser traveled areas. One place is from west of the Stratosphere to down town. Another is north to north east las vegas.

Yes, it's safe.. just don't go off the strip where it's not crowded or patrolled very much. And don't be stupid and flash a lot of cash... I'd say that went without saying but obviously someone is keeping the con artists in business ;-)

Things to do? Are you kidding?!?!?! This is VEGAS, there are things to do 24 hours a day on the strip!

As for the mile high burger, don't know what that is - but there are a ton of fabulous burger places. Try the MGM Grand, they have a burger shop there that'll knock your socks off :D

I have been there 3 times by myself and feel very safe indeed, there is usually wall to wall people on the strip and Las Vegas is well patrolled. Don't know about a mile high burger though.

at night, the vegas strip is filled with lots of people walking so don't worry about anybody trying to mug or shank you (:D). there are mostly adults walking but usually there will be families with children.
the only thing you have to worry about is jaywalking because taxis will stop for NOBODY and the occasional drunkards that are too knocked out to know what they're saying.
of course they are many things to do in vegas, it's vegas after all! many places are open from morning to after midnight, but usually the best time to start walking the strip is around 9-10 pm. After midnight, some shops close and there isn't as much activity.
the availability of a burger in vegas is most definitely possible but i dont know the names of the places, but there are lots of places on the strip that offer non-commercial fast food and so forth.
hope that helped!

The strip itself is very safe. We've never felt unsafe there. If you should venture too far off the beaten path (ie: between the strip and freemont st or anywhere else off the strip) you might end up in a sketchy neighborhood.

Yes there are lots of things to do in Vegas.

I don't know about a mile high burger.

Like anyplace in the world today, you should be aware of your surroundings, differant parts of the strip is busier than others, show time at TI is a good example, beware of possible pickpockets. I know what the mile high club is, but nevered heard of a mile high burger.

The Strip is highly patrolled by officer's, so crime is very minimal. Just stay ON the Strip, and don't go wandering down side streets. Have a wonderful time!

Where there is money, there is crime. And Las Vegas is brimming with money. Be careful. Stay with groups of people and always be wary. You can get almost anything in Las Vegas. But remember that it is loaded with predators!

It's pretty safe, there are mostly tourists there walking around on the strip. Be careful though, dont carry a lot on you. My friend had her camera stolen out of her coat pocket on new years eve there. That can happen anywhere though.
