I am with verizon, and want to move to AT&T for the iPhone. Verizon says they will charge me $175 even though there is only a month left on my contract. Any suggestions?

It Depeends On How Bad You Want To Keep Your Phone Number.... IF Badly Pay The 175 If Not Wait The Month Get A New Service With A New Number Or aATry And Switch The Number Close To THe End Of Your COntract Like The Last Day Of The Month

Wait out the month so that you dont get charged. A contract is a contract no matter how long is left or you could buy out your contract. You should still be able to keep your number regardless, but be sure to check with the company you are moving your service to.

Just wait a month for the contract to expire and then go ahead and switch to the IPhone but make sure it's a good deal for ya. :)

I would just wait out the month... It doesn't seem worth it to have to pay all that money just to cancel your plan and keep your number. I would say you might be able to switch sim cards, but I don't know if the iPhone uses them.
