I had one when I was 14, her name was Blondie. She was extremely smart and a great dog.

Also had one named Jake, him I did not keep very long, stupid dog would retrieve dead animals for me to bury and couldn't take him fishing with me cause he would retrieve my bobber, my line that dang dog retrieved everything
If properly trained he would have been a great hunting dog but I was 12-13 and didn't care about that then.
