I would head to the public library. At the least, the library should have the 1993 almanac, which would cover the year in review of 1992. Usually there is a day-by-day section reviewing the big events. Maybe Aug. 25 is on there.

To take it a step up, some libraries will have microfilm of the local newspaper. You can go through the film and find the days.

By the way, according to a search I did, it looks like Hurricane Andrew was getting ready to pound Florida that day.

If you go to your local library you can use the microfilm or microfiche to find the headlines of that day for your local newspapers or some national papers. It's really easy to do and will only cost you like 10 or 20 cents to print out. Just ask them at the library if you need help.

I know at my local library I have found newspapers that go back to the 1800's on microfilm.

Nothing really caught my attention on the headlines this morning. I rarely pay a lot of attention to the news but you are not a fat and sad cat, Wonder. You are a wonderful, furry ball of joy. LOL.
