Sorta, except for the fact -6 is bigger than 2 on the number line there for making you only take away 2 from a negative six wich would equal -4 because you loose 2 numbers from the negative 6 which would leave you with 4 negative numbers. Hence the -4. Example below:
+ + minus - - - - - - if you take away two of the negative six's->
- - - - - - take away 2 you have - - - - and that's your answer. Hope that helps!
