you can try "The murder of Roger Ackroyd" by Agatha Christie. i think you'll like it. it's a little bit different from her other books, but it's very tricky, i'd say, and at the end you'll find out why.
you can also read "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown. It ain't good literature, but it's captivating.

The Kite Runner by Khaled Housseini
This book is about two Afghan boys and their friendship, betrayal and loyalty. It really has meaning and teachs a lesson; it is historical fiction.
Where the Red Fern Grows is really good too. It's about a boy and his hunting hounds. I loved this book!
Angels and Demons by Dan Brown is excellent!! I loved that book even more than "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie. It is a really suspenseful, fast-paced thriller. You will probably like it if you liked Agatha Christie.

You might look at the Dave Ramsey books on money management. You can find them at Amazon - I believe he has one for teenagers. He also has his own website. Have you read "Where the Red Fern Grows" - good book that's a classic; Kite Runner is out in paper back now and is a great book. Nineteen Minutes is good - about high school students and is on the best seller list but it can be "disturbing". Everyone should read Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn at some point. I did not like Angels and Demons but I know a lot of people did.

You could try the Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. The book takes place in 1967 and is about a boy named Ponyboy who is a greaser and his friends (who are also greasers) and all of the problems they have to face. It is a great book that i really recommend.
Here is another, i've never read it but you may be interested. Rich Dad Poor Dad for Teens: The Secrets about Money--That You Don't Learn in School!

The Outsiders is definitely not a good book. It is very monotonous(boring). The Pendragon series is very interesting. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is super awesome. Have you ever tried to read a manga book. Those are really good and incase you don't know what they are, they are japanese comic books that you read backwards. Those books are awesome. Eragon is also a very good book. and of course there is Harry potter but i'm sure you already knew that.

Do you ever read the Gossip Girls? I am 30 and love them! I know they are for a younger audience, but great. Also, another great beach read is anything by Julie Andrews...my favorite is Hissy Fit. I live at the beach, so know all about those great beach books! enjoy!

Another good one you might like is Island of The Blue Dolphin. I forget who the author is but your library or bookstore should have it. It's been around awhile but is very good and actually based on a true story.
