As a college student my self and a fellow 3.4 GPA earner I can tell you one thing, you have to bust your butt to get a 3.4! Especially since a lot of professors can have their quirks! I am a student at MSUB in Montana in the Nursing program and these classes are NOT a slice of pie! In my anatomy class 57 enrolled 31 dropped at only 9 passed. Passed period...D is "passing"...Not a grade I would every except. I would say keep it up! Don't doubt yourself and do your best; that's all anyone can ask! :)

I don't understand why the hell would you take that many credits in your first semester of college taking science classes. It is definitely not a good GPA to begin with but fortunately it is so early that you have plenty of time to bounce back. Study hard from now on and bring up the GPA. Avoid taking too many credits. I would say 17-20 maximum.

Good question- Yes, 3.4 is a good GPA in college. A GPa that is 3.3 and above is a great to excellent GPA. I salute for your great GPA. Hope this helped- Answerquestions.

It depends what type of college you are going to and what type of degree you are seeking. Typically, I would say that 3.4 is a rather impressive GPA, especially if you are at a good school.

It depends on your college and how they calculate GPA. In Australian universities, a 7 is the top so 3.4 would be abominable. In most universities and colleges in the US and Canada, a 4.0 is the best and anything over 3.5 is excellent. However, some colleges scale differently and their formulas must be calculated out when a person transfers to a new facility. In general a 3.4 is good, but not excellent. It is best for you to go to the college and find out how they scale their grades.
