There are things we haven't explored in our own galaxy much less the thousands of others outside of ours. There is a still a good possiblity that aliens exist.

Can you prove a negative?
Someone gets wild idea that you did something bad, and accuses it ... you say no, not true ... but how can you prove it ... almost impossible to prove a negative.

So people get wild ideas about what government doing ... and many of them totally bogus, but short of denial, not much the government can do.

I believe that there are conspiracy theorists who will never know the truth in the occasional monments that they glimpse them.

I believe that many people love to have something to complain about, would be miserable if there was nothing tthey think messed up.

I believe in a universe that has an infinity of planetary systems that support intelligent life, but if any of them come fisit us, they will probably be sufficiently intelligent that we won't see them if they don't want us to see them. The distances to travel are just so humognous that the odds of us having visitors are pretty small.

If we are having visitors, if the UFOs are not normal terestial things we have misidentified, they are much more likely to be time machines from the distant future, where the visitor is temporarily lost, turns off cloaking to get a time navigation fix, than the kind of explanation most UFO fans give.

Yes, think of national security. The technology that could be harvested (if not already) from aliens & UFOs would be beyond top secret stuff - imagine during the Cold War how important this would be. If our gov't openly admitted to this secret knowledge there would be a backlash from the rest of the world and from the American people for all the years of lies and denial.

Yes. They were our creators. The government has no intentions of protecting you from them. They are protecting their agendas from us. Ignorant people are not a threat. But, here's a question for you. Do the aliens believe in us? Makes as much sense doesn't it. We have been programmed to believe aliens and u.f.o.s are fairy tales and nonsense. I believe it somewhat. The universe is so big and waaayyyy out of human mind capabilities so it's possible. And seriously, if the government does know something and is tryin to keep it away from us civillians then it's probably because of all the media hype it'll get.
It would cause a lot of chaos and debate.

Have you ever watched the movie, Contact starring Jodi Foster? It show's a pretty good idea of what would happen if the public did find out about our invasive neighbors.

NO. or let me qualify. I believe that in another solar system
there may be other life, but they are probably as dumb as we
are. I think the alien stories have taken on a life of their own,
(nearly approaching dogma) because our government does
do weird research in out of the way places sometimes, and if
the few witnesses to out of place events can be writen off as
witnesses to alien landings so much the better.

The governments of the world like to keep their people in the dark, dumbed down and stupid. That's how they make money, lots of it.
If the truth about many issues, not just aliens, were to come out, many corporations of the world would go bankrupt. And then they would take it out on the people of the world through the use of, for instance, wars.

What is our government is protecting us from, ourselves.... If a flying disk landed in the middle of any town U.S.A. And aliens Came out of that disk.. i believ that there is some other type of life out there. weather it's a single celled organism in some galaxies far away who knows. UFO's and that kind of thing i'm more sceptical about.
