You don't judge a person on politics but you assert that Republicans are narrow-minded? Is that the most hypocritical thing I have heard today, probably not but its damn close.

because the republicans have lost their way...republicans werent always so narrow minded or at least thats what their party has never been about until Bush took office. Republicans are playing to a base that they feel they can get to vote for them. They got lost when they started playing more political propaganda with the dems and to republican christian right conservative voters rather than being what they as a party have normally always been about....
less government, keeping more of what you earn, cutting taxes, and increasing economic growth here at home
none of these are happening with Bush as president!!!

Goodness. This is a political forum, meant to discuss politics and points of view.
There are many people I'd never approach or encourage a political conversation with for the exact reason that you've pointed out. I can be pretty bull-headed here, but it's not worth losing friendships over :)

Holding my own views and refusing to compromise those basic tenets is my right as an American.
And personally, I find liberalism to be way too "self-focused." Why not think in terms of what is going to be best for America as a whole? I don't think you can arrive at that conclusion, when you are overly focused on the emotions behind people's views.

Dear, you just contradicted yourself. If you don't judge people by their politics, then you would not call people of a political party narrow-minded.
I do agree with you on the sentiments, however.
