You should have started following up around a week after you applied, if not sooner depending on where. Always follow-up. If you ever go for a professional type job, then you need to make sure you send a follow-up letter and if offered employment a thank you letter to anyone who has interviewed you.

Usually it takes a while before they call people but places like Walmart and Target and Staples are hard to get into.
But I am sure you will recieve a call any day now!

go back to the places and ask to talk to a manager about an application you filled out. it shows that you really do want the job and they should take the time to talk to you. show up like it was an interview too because it may turn into one
