I guess I mean facilities that are more like rehab centers than psych wards.
I posted a question a few months ago and most of you told me a vacation would be a good idea. I'm only 17 and I can't really go on a true vacation somewhere.
I'm going to ask my therapist about it, but I really want to take some kind of break before school starts. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be on medication as of Wednesday, but I just need a rest.
I have no idea if there is a place like this where I live or if they even exists. I don't want to go to an institution or anything like that. Just a place to relax and even have therapy sessions for a few weeks. A place that will let my Mom bring me home whenever we feel it's time.
Maybe the medicine will help, but at the rate I'm going I don't see how I can make it through another school year.

Medication will help. The famous "rest cure" of the late 19th and early 20th centuries was found to do more harm than good. Do talk to your therapist; it could be you can check into the hospital or a rehab place voluntarily for a week or 2.

I don't know where you are but I'm assuming that there is a place somewhere around you. Ask your doctor.

I am no expert but as a mum I am encouraging you not to take any anti-depressant unless its has been tested for young brains and not adults (which most are). Please ask more questions about the pills if it has been offered to you. Other wise please speak to a cognitive therapist and other talking therapy.

I don't want to scare you and again i am no expert but i can't emphasis enough how much anti depressant is lethal to young brains. If you have been taking it, please ask questions. There are alternative herbal medicine found to be less dangerous. Be carefull and ask questions. This is your life and one else!
