If he stops committing crimes and clears all his penalties with the NFL and the legal system, I don't see why not. He's an idiot, but I don't see why committing crimes off the field should make it so you aren't allowed to compete as a football player at the sport's highest level. I don't buy the "NFL players are role models, so they can't get involved with the legal system" argument, because if you are so spiritually bankrupt that you need to look to professional athletes to find role models, perhaps you are the one who needs to reform your behavior, and not them. Of course NFL players shouldn't be in legal trouble, no one should, and I don't think they should be held to higher standards just because they are famous.

Who I think should be banned forever are people who do horrible things ON the field. For example, if I were the NFL commissioner and a player did something like what Marcus Vick did to Elvis Dumeril in college (Vick walked up to him and jumped on his leg while he was lying on the ground after a play was over), I would give that player a lifetime ban.

I think the bigger question is, should the NFL do a better job of taking care of these young players coming into the league who have had a troubled past? I feel sorry for Pac-man Jones more than everything else. His father was shot and killed when he was 6 years old. His mother spent time in jail for drugs. Suspending players is not enough. The league has the right to make them go to counseling, and I’d like to see them take a more active roll in helping fix the problems then just casting these players aside.

Yea, he should, what he's doing is no different than what probably half the rest of the NFL players do in their spare time, go to bars, strip joints, party, etc. the only thing is, is that Pacman is getting caught, he hasn't been convicted of anything, just accused lots of times for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, unless there is some concrete evidence that he killed someone, who cares about threats, let him play, he earned his way to the NFL so far, you can't mess that up on accusations.

No. The only game Pacman will be playing is trying to get away from the big guy in jail who wants him in a romantic way.

Absolutely not..He's no better than a common
street thug who clearly takes his god-given abilities
for granted. Move aside Pacman and allow the gazillion
of other players out there who are out there busting their
asses to try to get to where he's already BEEN! What a loser...

i dont think he deserves to play another game. playing in the NFL is a privlige and he has already blown that oppertunity, more then once. besides, pacman jones sucks. he is an underachieving, pansy, "cover" corner that runs away from contact. aka, NOT champ bailey

Guess I'll be the first to say yes. He's a great talent and I hope he can get himself under control off the field. He's got to learn his lesson, prove he can come back and be an asset to his team and not a liability. Teams love Big play guys, so he'll get his chance if he dumps his thug posse.

I AM A HUGE TITANS FAN, BUT I AM JUST SICK OF PACMAN. HE WAS SUCH A GOOD FOOTBALL PLAYER AND HAD THE POTENTAIL OF BEING A DEFENSIVE STAR. I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING WITH HIS LIFE.

NO!!!!! Dude needs to get his life straight FIRST! Otherwise, you can almost predict something really bad is going to happen to this guy. Football is merely a GAME! Life is far more important!
