I think that eventually all the animals we have been killing and controlling are eventually going to evolve to deal with us. Humans have survived because they are able to adapt well! Let's say ants develop a poison so powerful it can kill a human, they would eventually wipe us out because we cannot wipe out ants!

Cockroaches don't need intelligence to fly, and in fact they are quite able to fly already. It's just that in most cases they see no reason to do so and they rather conserve the energy - being large insects, the effort needed to get airborne is overproportionally higher than for small insects.

Ahem...I don't know where you are from, but where I'm from (Australia) and from where I've been cockroaches do fly! Some varieties of cockroaches fly so count yourself lucky you haven't come across these guys!! Scarey mothers!

Well it would take more than intelligence to learn to fly. How would they build the machines? We're intelligent, but we still need machines to fly. I have a hard time imagining a roach using tools.

There are species of cockroaches that fly.
Besides animals do not need to be smart to be able to fly... they just need wings.
