My son is almost 4 months old. I believe he is starting to teeth. He gets real grumpy lately and is calm when he has a teether in his mouth. However the problem is that he can not hold it himself. If I lay him down and he has it and drops it he throws a fit. I find myself having to hold it for him when he needs it. Is there any product out there to help with this? Is there a "teething pacifier" or anything? Just need some advice on what else I can do until he can hold his own teether?

There are teething pacifiers at Walgreens' and Babies 'r' Us that you can put in the freezer that will comfort him. Get two, and keep one with him and one chilled.

Good luck with your little guy!

i have heard that question asked alot. i use to put just a dab of liquer like jim beam on the gums. I just put my finger in the bottle and rub the gums, It will not hurt the baby. There is alot of people that have done this with no complaints from doctors, or use teething gel from wal-mart. Its your choice.

Freeze a wet wash cloth for the teething, this may be easier for him to hold on too. Good luck, teething is not fun!
