You really need to work hard AND succeed. What that means is you can spend hours and hours studying, but if you don't get the As in High School, you will not get into the best college. If you don't get As in the best colleges, you won't get into the best Law Schools. And if you don't do well in Law School, you won't get picked up by the most prestigious firms.
Remember that - you have to work hard AND you have to do well. You HAVE to show results. If you don't do well in high school, in the core classes, you will probably never make it as a lawyer. Just trying to be real.

If you're looking for a get rich career, law is not it. The better the law school, the better the chances are you'll get a good salary. However, your job opportunities depend on your class rank. If you are in the top 10% of your class, you MIGHT be able to get a job that starts at 100k+, but those jobs are extremely rare. A more typical salary is about 60k (and some fields of law start as low as 24k). So in short, most lawyers are not rich, just comfortable.
Keep in mind law school is at least three years. Each year can be in the 30-40k range, depending on your school. That means law school alone will put you about 100k in the hole, not including living expenses and undergraduate loans. Add the interest your loans are going to build up (my loans right now are about 8% interest, so that adds an extra 2-3k a year in interest). Basically, you're looking at years of being poor in college, poor in law school, and poor while you pay off your loans. It will increase your starting salary, but most lawyers are not rich.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the lawyers who do have huge salaries are worked very hard. My friend is 26 and an attorney at one of the top law firms in Pittsburgh. He goes in at 5:30 am and doesn't get home until 6-7 pm. Is that something you're willing to do?
And in all seriousness, do not go into a field just because it will make you rich. Law school is extremely difficult, and it's an incredible commitment. Do something that will make you happy.

ummm, you got a long way.
4 years of high school
4 years of college
And then 3 years of Law school
=to a mid average of 75,000 aproximately salary (Beware you are gonna have to pay back some loans). So if you are thinking just in the money, and being rich you picked the wrong career, you will live comfortable but is not likely to become millionarie by being a lawyer...

Not necessarily, just because you go to law school does not mean you'll become a rich lawyer, but you learn more about that when you go to law school.
For now, don't worry too much about money, just concerte on being a kid, enjoying the last few years of your childhood until you come an adult, because your childhood is one thing you cannot get back.

My son just finished law school, and the one other thing I can tell you is that to become a lawyer will require a lot of studying and homework time. As you are just starting high school, now is the time to pick up some good study skills. You will need to work very hard in law school, and it can be very expensive schooling. Doing well in high school may help you get scholarships and other sources of money to go to law school.

It depends on what type of law you go into and who you work for. Working for a state government is not going to make you as much money as working for a private firm, for instance. Some lawyers work for poor people and don't charge a lot because they want to help them get justice. But you can make a lot of money as a lawyer, yes.

Your money will depend on your clients. If rich people are your clients than you could charge them a good amount but if their not than not so much. Being an really good lawyer wil take you to the top. Money IS important if that's what makes you happy.

How are AP classes not above average?
And yes Lawyers get paid well depending on how well they do, if you want to learn some about firms and stuff read some Grisham books but most of it is BS so you will have to sift through it.

They can- if they're GOOD lawyers. The BAD ones don't work hard, rip people off, and end up getting disbarred. The GOOD ones work long hours, do pro-bono work (that means taking some cases for free), and do their BEST to do an honest job of it. In the end, THOSE are the Lawyers that get "paid good". In FACT, they get paid- BEST ! :)
