Tony Blair was a fine prime minister. a bit liberal for my tastes perhaps, but he stood by his principles. Maggie Thatcher was also a good prime minister, however Winston Churchill stomps them into the ground comparatively. Churchill presided over the worst time in modern history, that of WW ll. prior to that Churchill served as first sea lord of the admiralty.

it is unfortunate that people deride politicians from parties they don't agree with, when a politician does what is right even though others look on it as being corrupt, or against the people wishes, or just plain stupid. world leaders have a serious responsibility to do what is right for the country, and the world in which they live. that unfortunately means making unpopular decisions, and enforcing unpopular policies.

i am sure that if any of you haters were in their position and given the same information they had, just might have made the same decisions they did.

He COULD'VE been- had he not thrown his support behind Bush in the Iraq War. The English say that was too BIG a mistake- to put him into consideration for the greatest PM ... It's too bad, to... I really liked him, & thought he'd "know better..." But then 9/11 came, & Blair fell in with some "bad company..." -the "Decider", Bush. :(

He is at the bottom end of the food chain compared to the likes of Disraeli and Churchill; he in not fit to polish their shoes. As far as corruption is concerned, he is up there with Walpole and Lloyd George but, sadly, without their talent.

Greatest to me would be Mr. Churchill. He had far more going against him that almost any other by far. Mr Blair will be remember as a very good P.M.
