Unfortunately our society, or Western society in general, has lost all concept of common sense. We cannot call a spade a spade anymore. A kid goes bang bang and gets expelled from school. Little old ladies get strip searched at airports just in case they happen to be involved with Al Qaeda. This video of a boy hugging is a prime example.

Have we become stupid? Have we lost all sense of common sense? Have we become so fearful of offending anyone.

Yes. It is political correction that has gotten out-of-hand. By over-compensating on discipline, you create an atmosphere of mistrust and suppressed civil rights. It's just a hug.

the kids at that school can't even shake hands -they might be passing secret messages- can't high five cause others might join in then someone would get hurt. so they have forbid all touching. why not just forbid inappropriate touching. I think we are bending over backwards for correctness

I think our schools are so over-crowded that the powers that be better get used to the physical contact.

Yup. -But then, a LOT of "rules" are stupid. And why shouldn't they be?- They were created by Politicians!
