People who are MUSICIANS use the left side of their brain (if they are right-handed) for listening to music, but people who know little about music use their right side. The left side of the brain in right-handed people is used for analysis and sequential thinking, moreso in men than women by the way. The right side of the brain is used for holistic and successive thinking. Women are believed to use more of both sides of their brain than men as determined by anatomical studies that show a larger corpus callosum, major nerve fibers used for communication between the two halves, in women than men. So, being a man and right-handed, I am more left-brain than right-brain.

I'm definitely a right side thinker. I'm not a big fan of open ended questions, I like questions that are black and white with a right answer instead of a gray area leading to endless what if scenarios. However I do love a good debate expressing my opinions over questions that have no real answer to gauge how people are truly thinking so I guess that's left side. But in the end I'm definitely an analytical thinker playing odds and calculating.
