Hi, I agree with you. I say "awnt". The other pronuciation "ant" refers to an insect. Besides "awnt" being correct. It also sounds more cultured and more respectful of your mom's sister, especially if she's generous to you.

ant...but everyone else around here pronounces is awnt, so my kids are starting to say it that way, too...
