Had I a Hall ballot, he'd have my vote on it. Finest designated hitter ever -- as witness, the "outstanding DH" award is named after him.

He was very good. If the writers ignore the fact that he was a dh for the majority of his career he can even be a hall of famer.

One of the best DHs in history. It may not mean much except he was a good hitter that couldnt field for sh*t. Honestly tho he had good numbers and was the precursor to the guys you see today.
