I've got a question for you....
Did you just install a new garbage disposal? If so, remove the dishwasher drain hose and knock out the plug in the disposal like the directions told you to......
If not, take the drain hoes loose from the sink or disposal, put it in a bucket, and turn the dishwasher to drain.... Is ANYTHING coming out? And can you hear the pump? If you cannot hear the pump, then there's your problem....
If a very small steam of water is coming out, get a coathanger and gently push it up the hose to clear the clog.... Then make sure you rinse the dishes better in the future.....

Call us the pros an authorized service center with knowlegable techs not these DIYers that have seen one problem with just thier own product and not the thousands the techs with only a few years of experience have seen

Call for service you will save time and money in the long run, especially with the type of question you are asking.

I wouldn't. Check the screen in the bottom of the drum for food particles. Then check for blockages in the discharge hose. If you add any caustic chemicals, you will probably be buying a new DW. You will wreck the pump and probably the hoses.
