I am trying to copy my games folder to a Memorex formatted 3.5 inch floppy disk. My computer keeps saying not formatted do I want it to and I say yes. Every time it comes back w/a error message - bad disk. Just bought them. 2nd Pack

Make sure disc is not write protected. On the back side of the disc, make sure the overwrite is slid up.

You will not have enough room on one Floppy disc. Have several ready.

Use My Computer and select the drive, Select File, then go down to format, if that tells you you cannot format then you have a bad disk (or maybe drive - little chance) and you just got unlucky

Probably a floppy drive error, they are notoriously unreliable. Considering most major computer chains are no longer supplying floppies and several manufacturers have ceased production, I would suggest changing to cd or flash drive, or better external hard drive.

might have a bad drive. right click A: drive in my computer and choose format

pop it in, go to my computer, right click on your floppy drive, click format

Can you open other diskettes?

If not you floppy drive is faulty.
