"We have an obligation to solve problems that have been piling up for decades," Bush said in his weekly radio address. "The status quo is unacceptable."
The measure would tighten borders and workplace enforcement, create a new guest worker program and provide pathways to legal status for most of the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the country.
How can you justify a war on terroism if you are willingly letting illegal imigrants into our country? What do we know about these people? How can we track them if something is done? The answer to the problem is not making them legal residents but to enforce the law. If you can spend trillions of dollars in War you can afford stricter security on the bordes and throughout the United States. Let's not compromise what we are fighting for just because Top Dollar business men are making bigger profits off of $5 an hour illegal immigrants with no benefits.
