when someone misspells the insult they hurl at you?

Getting called a "looser" is always good for a chuckle.

Yes, but you can tell that they were really pissed by the way they wizzed through the email just to get it out at ya.

Yes, there just seems to be something inherently humorous in it. When it happens, I'm usually reminded of a scene from the animated film "Monsters Inc."--the character voiced by Steve Buscemi calls the character voiced by Billy Crystal a cretin, but pronounces it as if it's got a short E. Crystal's character responds with, "The word is cretin [long E]--if you're going to insult me, say it right!"

Ergo, if you're going to insult me, SPELL it right!

looser : since there really is a word spelled that way, spell check will not read the person's mind and tell that what they want is different. Seems to me that you "smart" people could have figured that out!

Mercy me yes. These young folks today simply don't seem to realize that in order to be worth its salt, an insult must use correct spelling and grammar.
Seriously, so little seems to really matter to people any more, as long as they can get that invective out there. . . as long as you get the idea, they don't care if it's spelled correctly or not.

Yes it is amusing ! But can be embarrassing too. I answered a question and instead of saying I liked sitting in the hot sun...I wrote I like sitting in the hot sin! oops!

I would call it psychological misspelling!!
Those people who want to insult, are in such a stress when writing their message that they are in confusion and unconsciously they make spelling mistakes.

lol lol lol
