Hi, first of all you have to treat your animal, your house and your yard. The fleas are in all three areas. Treat all at the same time with safe products that you can buy at the pet store. The directions should tell you to treat once, then another treatment in 2 weeks, and another in another 2 weeks. Continue to treat the dog. Often times the fleas will get ammuned to the product you are using so you may have to switch after six months or so. Make sure the product is made and safe for your animal. Good luck!

I put frontline plus on all my animals, but somehow they still bring fleas into the house. They multiply faster than rabbits.
My solution and I guarantee it does work, but takes a little time is to put a lightbulb on the floor level. Buy a special connection to plug a bulb into a plug in. Put a bowl of water with dishwashing soap in it and place it directly under the light. Plug this in everynight. The fleas draw to the light, jump in dishwashing water and drown.
It really works. But, you have to have dishwashing soap in it. This works wonders. Put several around the house and they will be gone in no time. Good luck.

I used flea killer carpet powder. I sprinkled it on my carpet, used a broom to work it in, and left it overnight. Then I vacuumed it like 10 times in 1 day. I had to do this twice, but I've been flea-free for about 2 weeks. I was going to use borax, but was told it is harmful to pets and children.

Write up a will and tell your children goodbye. One morning you are going to wake up and only your head will be left. Seriously though their are these thing called flea bombs that you can set off in your house. They are highly toxic but they work...however Mother Nature will not be sending you a Christmas card if you take this route.

If you have animals, get them flea medicine from your local vet. Get advantage it works great. Then you need to vacum before and 2 that week after putting on the med. If you dont have animals, bomb your house.

Call the Terminix man or the Orkin man. This is a job bigger than you. These pros can get rid of fleas, & their eggs, in a safe & near odorless way.
