Yes and it is a terrible feeling , I have experienced that feeling on more than one level such as death and friendships and a marriage . And it was nothing I could do to keep them near .

Yeah, I do all the time. I am married, have a child, and have had seizures for 26 years. Because of my seizures I have never been able to drive. They are quite severe. So severe that I ended up on disability. So now all I do is stay home and take care of my daughter. I know that that is a blessing right there. But because I have limited capacity and am home all day, i feel like my life is just going by me real fast and there is nothing I can do about it. AlI I wish that I could get out and make a difference in the world/community, but... Its too expensive to get a cab, and there is not a bus line in my area. So i do not have those options. SO I just have to wait and see what my next brings me. I just hope that its something better than the previous. Oh yeah, and you are very lucky to have survived your ordeal like you did. I have much respect for you fight for life.

It is a special thing when people do not slip away from us. It's a matter of conscious choice for someone to decide not to move in directions that take them away. The reason it is so special is because it IS a matter of choice.

Yes. You never can do anything to keep someone else near. If they want to go they will.

suprisingly alot are clueless and you could do nothing to keep them near as mostly the beasties are interested in themselves - you should let my fingers do the walking and I am not talking about the yellow pages honey bunny.

Yea... it feels horrible. Sometimes it is just the way they change and how life goes. Best thing to do is accept it. Many of your friends will be gone after your done school. Life is harsh.

Lots of times, due to drinking or drugs, I try to tell them not to go that I wil help them, that they are cared about but they get too caught up in it all to think straight.
