well the earth gravity is 9.81. it attract any object or particle to it. like while you are walking not flying because of the gravition of the earth. flyind is the work done against gravition

I use gravity to keep many of my possessions static and in place. It applies a downwards force on my possessions and so prevents them moving upwards and increases the static friction preventing them moving sideways.

we would be flying which is really cool but due to gravity we are able to stay on the ground and walk to school, work, etc
