I need some ideas of stuff to do with my realitives
where already going to the sundial bridge
and dinner
but we have nothing else to do
give me some ideas

Sorry to say but outside of things like hiking there isn't a lot to do in Redding. It's a good time to visit Shasta Lake and go boating or water skiing. Maybe rent some jet skis? It's a great area for outdoor activities, but Redding itself if a city locked in a timewarp of 1960.

Check out the Chamber of Commerce and/or Visitors Center. Besides Mt. Shasta (the dam, lake, mountain), there is also Mt. Lassen. You don't have to stay in Redding though either - drive over the Eureka and visit the beach - the drive over to Eureka is pretty too and you could have a picnic in the mountain area there too. I used to live in Redding as a kid for a few years and have been back a few times and also driven through it. There is stuff to do. Ask them what they like and go from there. You could always do an overnight trip to Reno too or even Susanville (which isn't much fun though I know).

try the Shasta caverns they are about 8 miles north of redding ..lots of fun and very interesting
