I have a very known phobia about having things around my throat-necklaces, scarves, people touching my throat, etc.. well my mom got me a turtle neck with snowflakes on it last year.
It kind of hurt my feelings/surprised me that she didn't really think about my fear. And second, I am 20 years old and it looked like it was made for someone twice my age.

When I was 11 or 12, my mother scheduled a dentist appointment on my birthday. She said she didn't realize the day she had picked was my birthday. And it's not that great having a dentist sticking his fingers in your mouth as he wishes you a happy birthday

I worse present ever got for my birthday was a sweater with giant buttons from my cousin. It looked like a grandma's sweater. =( Never wore it....

On the morning of my birthday I woke up and went outside and my cat pranced up to me with half a rat. Oh and once my aunt gave me ugly orange pants.

I think it hurts worse when you get nothing, and people have forgotten your birthday.
