In ODI, non other than Sanath Jayasuriya is suitable to be called as the best all-rounder.
He has scored 12063 runs + 295 wckts.
His batting avg is 32.95 & bowling avg is 37.36.
Also has a strike rate of 90.58 in 395 ODIs.

If I have to choose only one, that could be no other than Jack Kallis. I don't think any one (at least among the present cricketers) can achieve 8000 plus runs along with more than 200 wickets in both version of cricket even with very handsome average. Other best all- rounders are Kapil Dev, Imran Khan and Ian Botham.

There r many good all rounders in the cricketing world. But I think the best of them are: 5 Yusuf Pathan 4 Kapil Dev 3 James Hopes 2 Sanath Jayasuriya 1 Shaun Pollock & also Vettori, Styris, Collingwood, Mascarenhas, etc.
